Feed it to the rat. Let them chase that bastard through walls, floors and sewers for a while. At least it will keep them occupied while we get away.

The spotlights sweep the yard as I wait under some steel steps in the rain, just waiting for the right moment when I can make my break to the next blind spot.

One more pass and then it's go time. I get into a running position, using both hands I use them to push off the wet brick wall for momentum. Running hard, feet pounding the ground like cement blocks making sprays of water shoot from the ground from the separation of ground and water. My body aches, burning like acid from the adrenaline. I'm getting close to my next hide but realizing I am to fast to stop, I do a classic maneuver, like that of a baseball player sliding into home.

My foot catches the lip causing me to jolt forward and with enough momentum I push off the slippery ground, flinging myself onto the low-rise tin roof. Just as a thunderclap erupts from the sky, I leap to the roof of the small building with outstretched arms and kicking legs.

Catching the roofs edge, it begins to crumble. I force myself up with the aid of small tin smoke stack. I roll to my back, facing the hard rain, I gasp heavily for a few breaths. I can't stop now.

Back on my feet I keep low, ducking behind air condition units and vent pipes, as the searchlights make their pass.
The crunching of the gravel rooftop hardly makes a sound under the pattering of the rain droplets.
Opposite side of the roof. I see it there, a red light, A beacon.
About 50 yards out beyond the fence.
I peer down the side of the building. Darkness, for now... 5..4...3..2...1... The east tower's lights sweeps past just as I crouch behind the small roof wall.
Springing forth, over the ledge I grab the of windowsill, my feet firmly planting on the top of the window below I repel the 3 stories, a windowsill at a time.

My heart pounding harder now then ever before as I gallop toward the chain link fence.
Suddenly I spot something that shouldn't be there, I go into a power slide as I try to stop.
There is no cover here and when all else fails you hit the dirt. It's dark here, he may not see you. I think.
Slowly it walks by. If it doesn't get out of here within 8 seconds I won't have to worry about him spotting me, the lights will alert him to my presence.
The seconds count down.
With 2 seconds to spare the guard is gone and I am on my feet rushing to the fence.
No alarms, no dogs howling, just the hot prick of something entering my back.
I fall to my knees.
Hands still grasping the chain links
A foot kicks me onto my back
I stare up as the spot light gains it's focus on me, a shadow stands over.

I see the glimmer of 2 green eyes.
Night vision. Should have known. The bastards.
The flashing of red and yellow comes next, the bullets piercing my every vein and organ.
I taste blood as it begins to poor from my mouth.
I gasp for air, I choke, and with all of that I die.
