We were rounded up like cattle.
Taken to trains and packed tightly into boxcars, sardines had more room.

Murmuring spread through the cars faster then the black plague.
A few people began losing the contents of their stomach as the stench of fecal matter consumed the enclosed space.

An uprising began in the neighboring boxcar.
There was the sound of the giant steal doors being thrust open and a moment later a machine gun chattering away.

Silence quickly presented itself.

-------

The hard metal floor was unbearable as the train thud and bumped down the tracks, nor could the clanging of steal be ignored.
Small silent prayer groups sporadically presented themselves as the train chugged onward.
Sleep was impossible.

In one instant all the bodies in the boxcar shifted in unison, like water in a fish tank after a child had bumped it, causing a few of the people to be ejected from their standing positions and causing them to be trapped in limbo between the small space of the ceiling and the frightened crowd.

These unfortunate folks would never see the light of day again do to the extremely sharp pikes that lined the boxcar's ceiling.
For several of them, a fate of being pressed to death by the several hundred pounds of human weight.

One can recall the time when train 999 wrecked, killing everyone on board.
These trains were designed so that the steal crumpled in on itself, leaving very little survivors.
Those that survived were usually mutilated messes that got dealt with when the clean up crew arrived.

----------

The facility was damp, surrounded by barbed wire electric fences. Gray windowless buildings dotted the yard. Guard towers with big spot lights patrolled the entire area.

The guards; all wearing the same riot control gear.
Faceless as they hid behind their darkened masks, bodies shielded by protective armor.
